Cisco 12000 Routers

• 3.6 GB/s Cisco Catalyst 5500 switches as backbone
• Each server has dedicated, full duplex 10 MB ports

Connectivity

• Datex has redundant OC3 connections and multiple fiber optic DS3 connections to eight redundant and diverse backbones (Frontier, UUNet, Concentric, CWIX, Exodus, Sprint, AboveNet, MCI) with additional redundancy / diversity from dual building entry points and multi-homed central office provisioning. We monitor backbone performance and automatically send IP traffic down the shortest path using the Cisco BGP4 protocol, in addition to using Datex's own Intelligent Data Center technology for advanced, high-availability hosting.

Backup Power

• 1,500KW diesel backup generator can power entire office and all equipment for four days without refueling.
• All servers and communications equipment are also connected to uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) capable of running servers for four hours without direct electric grid power.

Security

Our high security facilities are accessible by authorized personnel only. Access to the building requires electronic ID badges. The data centers are staffed 24 hours per day with constant video surveillance monitoring.

Access to our network is equally as protected. Our advanced firewall system keeps out those who don't belong, and network engineers monitor our systems 24 hours a day. Access to the network systems by any personnel is extremely limited and closely monitored to protect your valuable information.
